Paris is more than a city—it’s a mirror. Between cobblestone streets and cathedral bells, something sacred unfolds. On our Travapy retreat, we created space for both stillness and self-awareness. Here are 5 simple but powerful practices we used to invite healing in the heart of Paris.
1. The 5-4-3-2-1 Grounding at the Eiffel Tower
Standing beneath the arches, we did a sensory reset:
- 5 things you see
- 4 things you hear
- 3 things you can touch
- 2 things you smell
- 1 thing you taste
This helped travelers arrive, not just physically—but emotionally.
2. Sacred Steps at Sacré-Cœur
Each step up the hill became a silent prayer. We paused to breathe deeply and release emotional burdens—one breath, one step, one letting go.
3. Art as Therapy at the Louvre
We invited participants to stand in silence before one piece of art and journal what it stirred. No rules. Just truth.
4. Café Journaling
A simple ritual: find a café, order herbal tea, and let your pen wander. What are you avoiding? What are you grateful for?
5. Letter to Your Future Self in Hyde Park
On the last day, each traveler wrote a blessing to their future self. Some cried. Some smiled. All felt lighter.
Closing:
You don’t have to be in Paris to practice these. You just need space, presence, and permission. Your healing can begin wherever you are.
